亚洲基金会:香港中文大学创建背后的美国推手 |

摘要: 1949 年10 月中华人民共和国成立后,香港成为中美文化冷战对抗的核心区域。 一方面,香港本地和东南亚地区的华人学生普遍升学困难,许多青年转向内地求学,这对美 国的亚洲政策构成了严峻挑战;另一方面,一批中国知识分子迁往香港,又给美国提供了一 个绝好的机会。作为美国中央情报局的外围组织,亚洲基金会将目标对准了香港的中文高等 教育,试图将华人知识分子和学生拉入“自由阵营”。美国的冷战战略和亚洲基金会的活动客 观上促成了香港中文大学的创建,并对香港中文大学的形制与文化产生了不容忽视的影响。 |
